Significance of Char Dham Yatra - A Sojourn to Liberation!

Here lord Shiva is respected as one of the twelve jyotirlingas and is encircled by snowcapped mountains peaks including mount Kailash. Significance of Gangotri: A pleasing pilgrimage in the lap of Himalayas is a blessed destination where goddess Ganga touched the ground for the first time. It is situated at an elevation of 3100 meters in the greater Himalayas. The evening aarti performed here is the most appealing.
Significance of Yamnotri: Yamnotri lies at an altitude of 3293 meters above the sea level. This place is the seat of Goddess Yamuna and is the real source of river Yamuna. The major attractions of this pilgrimage site are Yamnotri temple and the hot thermal springs of Janaki Chatti. Surya Kund is the most popular thermal spring where pilgrims cooks rice and take it back to their homes as Prasad.
