DhamYatra and wash away all the sins.Char Dhams; Gangotri, Yamnotri, Kedarnath
and Badrinath are the most sacred places in India. These four sacred dhams also
marks the spiritual source of four holy rivers namely, river Yamuna (Yamnotri),
river Ganga (Gangotri), River Mandakini (Kedarnath), and river Alaknanda (Badrinath).
Traditionally this sacred yatra is undertaken from west to
east. Means yatra starts from Yamunotri, proceeding to Gangotri, Kedarnath and
lastly pilgrims visit Badrinath. Devotees firstly visit Yamnotri and Gangotridham
to bring the holy water of rivers Yamuna and Ganga and offer Abhishekams to
Lord Shiva that is Kedareshwara. Apart from the main temples, these places have
many other holy places which are nestled among the lofty peaks of Himalayas in
land of lords, where you can also visit.
As per hindu belief, these four pilgrimages wash away all
the lifetime sins of a person who visit here and this Char Dham Yatra is an
intimate experience which settles a direct connection between the pilgrims and
deity. According to Hinduism, this journey is a direct path to attain
salvation. Major part is, Char Dham Yatra Destination is not open for the whole year,
because of severe weather conditions, kapats of these dhams are open for only
six months in a year. A particular day is fixed for opening and closing of the
four places. Yamnotri temples opens on the auspicious day of Akshay Tritiya,
Gangotri temples also opens on the same day. Opening day of Shri Kedarnath
Temple is on Shiv Ratri and Badrinath temple opens on the auspicious day of Basant Panchmi.
Route taken for this sacred Yatra is Haridwar to Rishikesh
to deoprayag then tehri ,Dharasu to Yamnotri, Uttarkashi, Gangotri, Gaurikund,
then comes Kedarnath, then Joshimath and lastly you will reach Badrinath,
shrine of lord Vishnu.
So folks, head over to this holy Yatra , this journey is not
only a life changing journey but also it is a bliss engendering and Karma
eradicating contract with the deities. At these holy places you can also enjoy
trekking, camping, mountaineering and more activities to have some fun. But
make sure to do all booking before leaving home to enjoy the yatra most.
